  • Biography

    Khadidja Harrell, MD, is an attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and an acting assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in 2011. She joined Seattle Children’s Hospital after serving 11 years in the military as a staff pediatrician and International Health Specialist in Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. She enjoys empowering medical students and residents to reach their full potential through teaching and mentorship. Her clinical interests include global health and the diagnosis and management of infants, children and adolescents with cleft lip and palate in resource-limited settings. Her research interests include health care of children in humanitarian emergencies. To that end, she plans to begin her Masters of Public Health through the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington in Fall 2020.
