  • Biography

    Taylor Sawyer DO, MEd is an attending neonatologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington Medical Center. He is the Director of Medical Simulation at Seattle Children's Hospital, and is also the Director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine. His academic interests are in medical education and the use of simulation to improve clinical skills and patient outcomes. His research involves the use of simulation for neonatal resuscitation and procedural skill training.

    Dr. Sawyer has received Advanced Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE-A) from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. He currently serves as the Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Simulation and Innovative Learning. He is a member of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Steering Committee, and he is on the Neonatal Delegation to the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation.
