"I'm never really sure which I enjoy more: being a provider of medicine or a student of medicine. I have loved being a doctor ever since I graduated medical school in 1982. In pediatric rehabilitation, I have the privilege of developing long-term relationships with my patients and my goal is to help each of them be as independent as possible as they grow and develop. During my career, I have also embraced active learning, honed my teaching skills, and helped hundreds of residents develop their expertise and passion in rehabilitation medicine. When my pediatric patients transition to adult care, I want them to continue to have expert care from their rehabilitation physicians for as long as they need it."

  • Biography

    I completed residencies in Pediatrics at Yale and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the UW. I have practiced at Seattle Children's since 1988 and I currently spend most of my time caring for inpatients and some outpatient work. I am a Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine and an Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics and I help to train residents, fellows and medical students in the field of pediatric rehabilitaiton.
