Solid Tumor Biology

Our researchers are studying the developmental origins of aggressive pediatric solid tumors such as brain tumors, sarcomas and neuroblastomas. By understanding how these cancers start, how they progress and how they recur, we are identifying novel opportunities to target childhood cancers. Through focused study of the biology of tumor metastasis and disease relapse, we aim to develop novel approaches to cancer care that will benefit children, adolescents and young adults with these devastating tumors.

We work closely with our colleagues in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, one of the top-ranked programs of its kind in the United States, to discover and translate research advances that lead to new cures for children, adolescents and young adults with cancer.
