Research Coordinator Core
The Research Coordinator Core (RCC) is a team of experienced research staff available to collaborate with investigators and research teams in all phases of clinical research. RCC staff have expertise in a wide range of areas and are well-versed in federal regulations, good clinical practice (GCP) and Seattle Children's institutional requirements and policies.
Services
The following are examples of services are offered to investigators upon request:
- Administer surveys/questionnaires
- Answer queries
- Behavioral/psychosocial research interventions
- Complete and maintain regulatory documents
- Conduct patient visits
- Consent form preparation
- Consent patient
- Coordinate Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) meetings
- Coordinate hospital service set-up
- Data collection/report/entry (e.g. REDCap and Tableau)
- Database development and management
- Drug or device accountability review
- Hospital service set-up
- Investigator and study staff training on regulatory requirements
- IRB submission/renewal/modification
- Monitoring services
- Nurse activities (e.g., blood draw, IV placement, specimen collection)
- Patient screenings and enrollment
- Record and data storage
- Recruitment effort
- Regulatory affairs consultations
- Regulatory reviews
- Reporting adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs) assistance
- Schedule research visits and procedures
- Site-initiation/investigator visits and meetings

Location, Contact and Hours of Operation
Staff are located at 70th & Sandpoint Way Administration Building and travel to the location requested for work.
Staff are available Monday through Friday, during regular business hours. Extended and weekend hours may be available upon request approval.
